LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns athletic department invites all schools (Grades 1-8) to experience the excitement of college basketball when it hosts the third-annual Education Game against American Athletic Conference member Houston on Dec. 14 at the Cajundome.
Â
Tipoff for the game is set for 11 a.m. All students and chaperones will be admitted to the game free of charge with all schools participating providing transportation to the game.
The game against Houston will feature in-game contests and prizes throughout the game, as well as halftime entertainment.
Â
"The Education Game is a great way to give back to a community that has really embraced our student-athletes," head coach Garry Brodhead said. "Acadiana's youth get a preview of what this great University has to offer, and these kids make the atmosphere electric when they're in the stands cheering us on."
Â
The Cajundome is offering a $5 lunch pack for pre-order. The lunch pack includes a hot dog, chips, and a 6-oz drink. To pre-order, contact Elaine Vavasseur at (337) 265-2322. Payments can be made by check or cash.
Â
The deadline to pre-purchase lunches is Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. The concessions stands at the Cajundome will be open to purchase other items during the game. If classes elect to bring their lunch, they are free to picnic at Cajun Field.
Â
Bus parking will be at Cajun Field.
