Ragin' Cajuns Host LSU Alexandria In Exhibition Game At Blackham

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team plays host to LSU Alexandria in an exhibition game on Monday at Blackham Coliseum.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and admission is free. Live stats will be available at RaginCajuns.com.
Louisiana, which finished 25-10 last season and won its second consecutive Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) Championship, returns three starters for fifth-year coach Garry Brodhead.
Simone Fields (9.2 ppg), Jaylyn Gordon (14.9 ppg) and Jodi Quinn (2.9 ppg) all return as starters for the Ragin' Cajuns. Junior college transfer Troi Swain, senior Sylvana Okde, senior Taylor Washington, senior Gabby Alexander, junior Nekia Jones and sophomore Breionne Cooper will look to contribute for the Ragin' Cajuns this season.
LSU Alexandria is coming off a 10-11 season, including an 8-10 performance in the Red River Athletic Conference.
Louisiana will officially tip off the season on Nov. 12 at McNeese. The Ragin' Cajuns will host Dillard (La.) in an exhibition game on Nov. 19 and travel to play No. 1 Notre Dame on Nov. 22 at the Campbell Center in Houston, Texas.
