Louisiana Nears Matchup With USM in New Orleans Bowl

NEW ORLEANS – With the 2016 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl only 48 hours away, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team wrapped up its second practice in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Thursday.

The Cajuns are set to face Southern Miss in an 8 p.m. kickoff. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN with Jason Benetti, Rod Gilmore and Quint Kessenich on the call. Fans can also catch the broadcast on the WatchESPN app.

The Ragin' Cajuns underwent a 15-period practice on Thursday after holding a 21 period practice on Wednesday in the dome.

Select members of the squad also took part in Media Day at the Superdome before the seniors made a trip over to the Children's Hospital of New Orleans to visit patients and drop off some gifts.
