Cajuns Set To Host Southeastern

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team hosts Southeastern Louisiana on Monday evening at the Cajundome.
Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. Live video and live statistics are available at RaginCajuns.com with the game being broadcast in the Lafayette area on KROF 960 AM and worldwide courtesy of Radio Pup.
Louisiana (4-3), which is coming off a 69-64 loss to Houston this past Wednesday, is led in scoring by senior guard Jaylyn Gordon (19.1 ppg). Gordon leads the Sun Belt Conference in points per game, three-point field goals made per game (2.7), and minutes played per game (39).
Junior forward Simone Fields is third in the league in scoring (16.1 ppg) and fourth in total rebounds per game (8.4). Freshman guard Jasmine Thomas is averaging 9.6 points per game while junior Jodi Quinn (5.7 ppg) and senior Gabby Alexander (5.7 ppg) have seen significant action for the Cajuns this season.
Southeastern (2-6) is coming off an 83-66 loss at Jackson State last Tuesday. The Lady Lions are members of the Southland Conference and are coached by Errol Gauff, who is in his first season as head coach.
Southeastern is led by junior guard Taylin Underwood with 15 points per game. Junior Bre Warren (7.8 ppg), freshman Charliee Dugas (6.0 ppg) and freshman Taz Stinson (5.8 ppg) are the other top scorers for the Lady Lions.
Louisiana won the last meeting between the two teams, 71-60, on Nov. 29, 2014 in Hammond, La.
The Cajuns will return to action when they conclude their five-game homestand on Thursday, Dec. 22 hosting Louisiana Tech in a 7 p.m. contest.
