Magnus Finishes Strong At Oak Hills Invitational

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns senior golfer Haraldur Magnus carded a final round score of even par (72) to move up 12 spots and place in a tie for 14th on Tuesday at the Oak Hills Invitational hosted at the par-71, 6,765-yard Oak Hills Country Club.
Magnus finished the event with a 54-hole score of 7-over par (220). The Reykjavik, Iceland native now has 21 top 25 career finishes including five this year.
As a team, the Ragin' Cajuns finished in 15th with a three-round score of 68-over (920) after tallying a final round score of 27-over (311).
No. 44 Baylor claimed the team title with a score of 11-over (863). No. 11 Oklahoma (+16, 868), Louisiana Tech (+23, 875), North Texas (+33, 885) and McNeese State (+34, 886) rounded out the top 5 teams.
Louisiana Tech's Victor Lange won individual medalist honors defeating Texas State's David Faraudo in the first hole of a sudden-death playoff after carding a 54-hole score of 1-under (212).
The Cajuns return to action Feb. 22-23 at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate in Mobile, Ala., before hosting the 31st Louisiana Classics Feb. 29-March 1 at Oakbourne Country Club.
