Men's Tennis To Play No. 35 Drake Saturday

Highest-ranked team to visit Cajun Courts since 2012
LAFAYETTE -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team returns to Cajun Courts on Saturday, Feb. 20 for a 1 p.m. match against 35th-ranked Drake.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Saturday's match will be the fourth straight contest against a ranked opponent for Louisiana (5-4). The Cajuns defeated both No. 66 North Florida and No. 65 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with a loss to No. 50 Rice in their last three matches.
Freshman Arthur Libaud owns the Cajuns best singles record with a 5-1 mark. Sophomore Vlad Kramarov has four wins, while senior Edgar Lopez, junior Eric Perez and sophomore Coleman Wahlborg each have won three singles matches in 2016. Lopez has won his last two completed singles matches against ranked opponents.
Drake, the highest-ranked opponent to visit Cajun Courts since ninth-ranked Kentucky in 2012, comes into this weekend with a 5-3 record and three-match win streak heading into Friday's match at No. 33-ranked LSU.
The Bulldogs earned a 5-2 win over No. 23 Minnesota in their last match and have earned wins this season over No. 50 Indiana, No. 70 Utah State, Western Michigan and Green Bay.
Ben Lott, who is 4-3 on the season for Drake at No. 1 singles, is ranked No. 76 in the ITA rankings and teams with Calum MacGeoch at No. 2 doubles where they are ranked 50th in the nation. Vinny Gillespie (No. 3 singles) and MacGeoch (No. 4 singles) both have nine singles wins this spring for the Bulldogs. Drake is 54-42 as a team this season in singles play. Gillespie and Bayo Philips have a team-best 6-2 record in doubles.
