Women's Tennis to Make Home Debut vs. Jackson State

Cajuns are 3-1 for the first time since 2010 season
LAFAYETTE -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team kicks off their 2016 home opener against Jackson State Sunday, Feb. 7 for an 11:30 a.m. first serve.
The Cajuns (3-1) look to keep their positive momentum going after earning a 5-2 victory at Southeastern on Saturday afternoon. They look to improve to 4-1 for the first time since the 2007 campaign.
Senior Melissa Burckhartt, junior Alexandra Way and sophomores Kelly Drew and Abby Johnson each boast 3-1 records in singles play this season.
Louisiana comes into Sunday's match with a 7-1 mark in doubles competition this spring. Senior Juliette Clement and sophomore Elena Sava share a perfect 2-0 doubles record, while Johnson and Way carry the top duos mark of 3-0 this season.
The Jackson State Tigers enter Sunday with a 1-3 record and have lost their last three matches, all by 7-0 finals.
