NATCHITOCHES, La. – The 16th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team is set to close out a five-game road swing on Wednesday at 6 p.m. as the Cajuns face in-state foe Northwestern State at Brown-Stroud Field.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN 1420-AM with Jay Walker calling the action and Jeff Schneider providing color. Live stats are available on RaginCajuns.com.

Louisiana (10-6, 2-1 Sun Belt) comes into the contest having taken two of three games from Troy over the weekend. The Cajuns are 1-3 in midweek games this season after coming up short at No. 28 Tulane 5-3 last Tuesday.

Sophomore right-hander Evan Guillory will make his fourth start of the season for the Ragin' Cajuns against the Demons (8-7, 2-1 Southland). Guillory is 0-2 on the year with a 3.52 ERA. The Jennings, La. native is coming off of his first quality start of the season limiting the Green Wave to two runs in six innings.

Joe Robbins paces a Cajuns squad that is hitting .281 on the season with 23 doubles, six triples and nine home runs. Robbins has a team-best .393 average with three triples, three home runs and nine RBI.

Senior Stefan Trosclair has reached base in 12 straight contests and has a team-best 10 RBI on the season.

Louisiana carries a seven-game win streak against Northwestern State into the game having won 15 of the last 19 meetings. The Cajuns hold an 83-48 edge in the all-time series with the Demons.

Northwestern State comes into the contest having won three of its last five including a series win over Lamar this past weekend. The Demons are 0-2 in midweek games in 2016 dropping a 4-2 decision to Sacramento State and a 7-6 game at Texas A&M.

Junior right-hander Tim Winders will make the start for Northwestern State. Winders is 0-1 on the season with a 7.71 ERA in four appearances including one start.

NSU is hitting .278 as a team with 33 doubles, two triples and eight home runs. Bret Underwood leads the squad hitting .345 with four doubles, one triple, one home run and six RBI. David Fry has a team-best three home runs and seven RBI, while Matthew Alford has driven in a team-high 13 runs.

Following the matchup with the Demons, the Ragin' Cajuns are set to open the Sun Belt Conference home slate as they host Little Rock in a three-game series at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field starting Friday at 6 p.m.
