Men's Tennis Edges UNC Charlotte, 4-3 on Friday

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team came away with a 4-3 win against UNC Charlotte on the campus of UNC Wilmington on Friday morning.
The win improved the Cajuns record to 11-8 this season.
"Each court took care of business in doubles," "Myself and Perez beat a really talented doubles team at 1," senior Edgar Lopez said.
In doubles, Huyton and Libaud teamed up to eliminate Josh Aubrey and Carl Solik, 6-4 at No. 3. The Cajuns completed the doubles sweep as junior Eric Perez and senior Edgar Lopez beat Vikram Hundal and Massalie by a 6-3 final at the No. 1 spot.
In singles, Huyton defeated Sam Rice, 6-4, 6-4 in straight sets at the No. 3 spot. Oriol Puig Forne bested Perez at No. 5, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) at No. 5.
Massalie prevailed, 7-6, 6-3 over Libaud at the No. 2 spot, while Aleja Garcia Moreno won, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 over Kramarov at No. 4.
"Singles overall was tight until the end," freshman Arthur Libaud said. "Will Huyton helped us getting the win early at three."
The Cajuns came storming back to take the victory with wins at No. 6 and No. 1 singles. Wahlborg came away with a win over Jensen Martin, 6-7 (9-7), 6-2, 6-4. Lopez clinched the victory at No. 1 over Hundal, winning 6-7 (7-5), 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).
"Myself and Edgar battled hard in their third sets to beat a really resilient Charlotte team," junior Coleman Wahlborg said. "It was a good fight on every court today."
The Cajuns return to action Saturday, March 19 against Yale on the campus of UNC Wilmington. First serve is at 8 a.m.
