LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns (18-9, 11-7 SBC) return to Lafayette for their final two home games of the 2015-16 regular season. The Cajuns host Georgia State (10-17, 5-13) this Thursday, March 3 at 5 p.m.

Thursday night's game is a "White Out." All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear white for the matchup with Georgia State. Thursday is also "Cane's Challenge." Should the Cajuns women's basketball team reach 60 points in the game, fans in attendance can take their ticket to a local Raising Cane's location and purchase a buy-one-get-one-free deal for a three-piece combo meal.

In the season's first meeting against Georgia State in Atlanta back on Jan. 16, the Cajuns cruised to a 77-57 victory. Junior Jaylyn Gordon led the team with 24 points and seven assists, while senior Kia Wilridge added 20 points, four assists and a steal.

Entering Thursday's game, the Cajuns are in third place in the Sun Belt Conference standings and hold a one-game lead over Troy and South Alabama for the third seed in the conference tournament. The Cajuns can move a step closer to clinching the third seed in the tournament with a win over Georgia State. Should the Cajuns win their final two regular season games, they would clinch the No. 3 seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

Senior Keke Veal established a new career-high in points with 34 at Troy last Thursday night. The 34 points was the highest scoring output by a Cajun since Krystal Motley back on Jan. 11, 2012 (36 points against South Alabama).

Setting the Scene: The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns (18-9, 11-7 SBC) will play their final two regular season home games this week as they try and end a two-game skid and secure the No. 3 seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Cajuns host Georgia State at the Cajundome this Thursday, March 3 and put a bow on the regular season slate on Saturday, March 5 for a 5 p.m. tip-off.

Louisiana enters the final week of the regular season in third place in the Sun Belt Conference. Should the Cajuns win their final two games, they will clinch the No. 3 seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

Georgia State (10-17, 5-13 SBC) comes into Thursday night having lost six of their past seven games. The Panthers offense is paced by sophomore guard Makeba Ponder, who is averaging a team-high 11.7 points per game. Freshman guard Madison Newby is first on Georgia State in assists with 139.

The Cajuns will look to snap a two-game losing skid at home. They are 9-3 at home this season and with one more victory would string together back-to-back double-digit win seasons in Lafayette.

Senior guard Keke Veal continues to lead the charge on offense with a team-high 16.9 points per contest. Senior guard Kia Wilridge has dished out a team-best 76 assists.

Coach Brodhead at the Helm: Louisiana head coach Garry Brodhead is in his fourth season at the helm of the Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball program, finishing with 23 wins last season, the most in a single season since 2006-07 (25). Brodhead guided the team to 15 victories at home in 2014-15, a program record. He passed Ross Cook (57) to move into sole possession of second place on the program's all-time wins list with his 58th victory on January 14. With 65 career wins, Brodhead trails only J. Kelley Hall (86) for the most wins by a coach in Ragin' Cajuns history.

Cajuns Defense Remains Strong:  The Cajuns have maintained one of the best scoring defenses throughout this season and continue to carry that strength into the regular season's final week. Louisiana is third in defensive scoring in the conference, holding opponents to 56.6 points per game.

Okde Three-Point Watch: Redshirt junior guard Sylvana Okde has made 153 three-point shots in her career, six shy of tying Bernette Tolston for fourth all-time in UL history (159).

Wilridge Assists Watch: Senior guard Kia Wilridge enters the final week of the regular season with 305 career assists. She is 79 helpers shy of tying Ashley Branche for fourth all-time in UL history (384). She tied her career high with nine assists at Troy last Thursday.

Wilridge's Moves Up Points List: Senior guard Kia Wilridge comes into Thursday's game with 1,184 career points. She needs nine more points to pass Alyson Habetz for sixth-most in program history.

Veal Climbing Steals Column: Senior guard Keke Veal comes into Thursday night with 248 career steals and is 14 away from passing Lisa Merritt and moving into sole possession of second place on the Cajuns' all-time list.

Veal's Career Assists: Keke Veal passed Alicia McDaniel for sixth all-time on the Cajuns' assists list last week at South Alabama. She now owns 263 helpers in her career.

Cajuns At The Top in Turnover Margin: Coming into the season's final week, the Cajuns are first in the Sun Belt Conference in turnover margin at plus-5.9. (379 turnovers vs. 537 turnovers forced).

What's Next? The Cajuns conclude their 2015-16 regular season schedule this Saturday, March 5 for a 5 p.m. tip-off at the Cajundome. Seniors Brooklyn Arceneaux, Adrienne Prejean, Keke Veal, Kia Wilridge and Student Manager Jacob Benoit will be honored at halftime of the men's basketball game.
