Girl Scout Day Set For Saturday at Lamson Park

LAFAYETTE – The No. 5-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team is hosting Girl Scout Day at Lamson Park on Saturday, March 12 during the Sun Belt Conference-opening doubleheader against South Alabama.
All Girl Scouts in attendance will be invited to join the Ragin' Cajuns softball team members on the field for the National Anthem prior to the start of the first game of the doubleheader which begins at 2 p.m.
All Girl Scouts troops are asked to arrive at Lamson Park by 1:30 p.m.
Troops are encouraged to bring posters in support of the Ragin' Cajuns. A poster contest will be held, with the winning troop winning a pizza party sponsored by Pizza Village of Lafayette.
General admission tickets priced at $4 for Girl Scouts and their parents can be purchased at the Cajundome Ticket Office from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. prior to Saturday and at the Lamson Park ticket booth on gameday.
JERSEY AUCTION
A jersey auction will also be held Saturday. Tables with jerseys will be set up in the main concourse area with fans having an opportunity to bid throughout the doubleheader.
DADDY-DAUGHTER DAY
The Ragin' Cajuns Athletics Department is offering a "Daddy-Daughter Day" promotion for the Sun Belt Conference-opening series finale with South Alabama at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 13.
Dads and daughters can purchase a $4 general admission ticket for an outfield seat. They will receive a voucher for free popcorn, courtesy of Sodexo, and have the opportunity to play catch on the field following the conclusion of the game.
