LAFAYETTE, La. – The 22nd-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team is set to face Southeastern Louisiana in the squad's final non-conference series of the year with a split three-game series this weekend starting Friday at 6 p.m. at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

The Cajuns and Lions will head to Hammond, La. on Saturday for the final two games of the series with first pitch Saturday at 6 p.m. at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. The series finale is slated for Sunday at 1 p.m.

The three-game series with Southeastern Louisiana marks the first time that the Cajuns have faced SLU in a weekend series since 2000 when Louisiana played a three-game series at Alumni Field.

Saturday and Sunday's contests will be broadcast live on Cox Sports Television (CST), channel 37 on Cox and channel 35 on LUS. The broadcast can also be seen on ESPN3.com outside of the Cox viewing area.

The Ragin' Cajuns (22-11, 10-5 Sun Belt) have won 10 of their last 12 contests after posting a 9-2 win against Tulane in a midweek contest Tuesday.

Louisiana has taken six of its seven weekend series this season including sweeps in both of the non-conference series this year against Sam Houston State and Sacred Heart. The Cajuns have also won three straight series headed into the weekend series with Southeastern Louisiana.

Sophomore right-hander Gunner Leger (3-2, 2.76 ERA) will again anchor the Ragin' Cajuns rotation making the start on Friday night. Wyatt Marks (3-3, 4.22 ERA) will take the mound on Saturday, while Nick Lee (5-1, 2.68 ERA) is slated to start in the series finale.

The Cajuns are hitting .268 as a team with 55 doubles, six triples and 24 home runs. Louisiana currently ranks fifth in the nation in sacrifice bunts (41) and 19th in ERA (3.05).

Kyle Clement continues to pace the Ragin' Cajuns at the plate hitting .381 with nine RBI. Brian Mills and Joe Robbins are tied for the team lead in RBI with 24. Robbins has a team-best eight home runs and is slugging .616.

Louisiana holds a 62-47 all-time series edge against Southeastern Louisiana. The Ragin' Cajuns and Lions split a pair of games in 2015 with the road team winning both contests. The Cajuns are 18-12 against SLU with head coach Tony Robichaux at the helm.

Southeastern Louisiana (25-9, 13-2 Southland) is off to one of its best starts in program history winning 14 straight contests at one point this season. The Lions have dropped their last two contests coming into the weekend falling to Northwestern State 3-2 and South Alabama 2-1.

SLU boasts the second best ERA in the nation with a 2.32 ERA through 34 games. The Lions will start senior left-hander Kyle Cedotal on Friday. Cedotal is 4-3 with a 1.17 ERA in 61.1 innings pitched with 63 strikeouts. Right-hander Mac Sceroler (5-2, 2.30 ERA) will make the start Saturday, while Domenick Carlini (4-1, 1.40 ERA) will start Sunday.

The Lions also feature the nation's top hitter in Jameson Fisher. Fisher has a .477 average with seven doubles, a triple, eight home runs and 40 RBI. The junior has a .558 on base percentage and is slugging .780 on the season.

Following the series with SLU, the Ragin' Cajuns open a five-game home series with a pair of midweek contests against in-state foes Nicholls and McNeese at The Tigue.
