Cajuns Baseball Picks Up Midweek Contest At Houston

LAFAYETTE, La. – The 14th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team has picked up a midweek contest against Houston scheduled for May 11 at 5 p.m. at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park, head coach Tony Robichaux announced Tuesday.

The contest with the Cougars will replace the rain out against McNeese on April 20. Houston will make a return trip to M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field in 2017.

"It's always important when you can get a quality opponent on your schedule," Robichaux said. This is a good thing for two reasons. One it gives us a chance to continue to protect our RPI, and two it allows us to play another quality opponent in front of our fans next year."

Louisiana opens a five-game week tonight at 6 p.m. in Hattiesburg, Miss. against Southern Miss before returning home tomorrow to face Louisiana Tech at The Tigue at 6 p.m.
