LAFAYETTE, La. – Coming off of a four-game road trip, the 26th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team will host in-state foe Northwestern State in a non-conference game on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

The Cajuns (18-10, 8-4 Sun Belt) have won six of their last seven contests after going 3-1 on the road last week. Louisiana picked up its fifth series win of the year at Arkansas State bouncing back from a close 7-6 decision in the opener to win 5-2 and 6-1 to take the series.

The Ragin' Cajuns are 11-2 at The Tigue this season with only one midweek game played at home thus far.

Sophomore right-hander Evan Guillory (1-3, 3.99 ERA) will make his seventh start for the Cajuns this season against the Demons. All six of Guillory's starts this year have come on the road with him posting two quality starts. Guillory picked up his lone win of the season at NSU limiting the Demons to one run on five hits in six innings with four strikeouts.

Senior Kyle Clement paces the Ragin' Cajuns offense hitting .390 with three doubles, a home run and nine RBI. As a team, the Cajuns are hitting .268 with 42 doubles, six triples and 21 home runs.

Louisiana holds an 84-48 edge in the all-time series against Northwestern State having won eight straight against the Demons and 16 of the last 20 meetings.

Northwestern State (16-12, 7-5 Southland) has won seven of its last nine and is coming off of series wins over McNeese State and Stephen F. Austin. The Demons lost a tight 2-1 contest to the Cowboys on Friday before taking the next two games in the series 7-1 and 8-7.

NSU will call on senior right-hander Jeffrey Stovall to make the start. Stovall is 3-2 on the year with a 4.60 ERA in eight appearances including five starts. A native of Irving, Texas, Stovall has posted a complete game performance this season.

The Demons are hitting .255 as a team with 61 doubles, four triples and 11 home runs in 28 games. Northwestern State is averaging 4.8 runs per game and are led offensively by Bret Underwood who is hitting .290 with seven doubles, two triples, one home run and 10 RBI.
