Ragin' Cajuns Honored At Annual Team Banquet

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team was honored on Wednesday during the team's annual banquet at City Club River Ranch.

The program, with Ragin' Cajuns play-by-play announcer Jay Walker serving as emcee, looked back at the 2015-16 season, which included a 19-15 record and a third consecutive post-season appearance.

Senior Shawn Long earned the MVP Award, Offensive Player of the Year and Rebounder of the Year awards with Jay Wright named the team's Defensive Player of the Year. Senior Kasey Shepherd was awarded the Beryl Shipley Leadership Award with teammate Steven Wronkoski earning the Academic Achievement Award.
