Ragin' Cajuns Wrap Up Five-Game Road Swing At UNO

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The 19th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team is set to close out its five-game road swing on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. as the Cajuns head face New Orleans at Maestri Field in the final non-conference game of the season. The game was originally scheduled for April 13 but was moved because of inclement weather.

The Ragin' Cajuns (33-19, 18-9 Sun Belt) are coming off of their 11th series win of the year and eighth straight as the team took two of three from South Alabama on the road. Louisiana fell 3-2 in the series opener before bouncing back with a 5-4 victory in 11 innings and a 6-3 win in the series finale.
Sophomore right-hander Wyatt Marks (3-6, 4.94 ERA) will make the start for the Cajuns. Marks has posted a quality start in five of his last seven starts despite going 1-4 during the stretch.
Offensively, the Ragin' Cajuns have outhit their opponents in eight of their last nine contests including the last five games. Kyle Clement continues to pace the team hitting .355 with 11 doubles and 15 RBI. Brian Mills has a team-best 34 RBI with seven doubles and four home runs, while Brenn Conrad is not far behind with 33 RBI coming on a tea-high 13 doubles and four home runs.
Louisiana holds an 81-68 edge in the all-time series against New Orleans. The Privateers snapped a nine-game win streak in 2014 with an 8-7 upset at The Tigue, but the Ragin' Cajuns rebounded with two straight wins including a 7-4 victory this season at home.
New Orleans (30-20, 14-13 Southland) has won four of its last six contests after taking a series from Southeastern Louisiana last weekend. The Privateers opened the series with two straight victories 15-9 and 10-3 before falling 4-3 in the series finale. New Orleans is 19-7 at home this season having won its first 12 home contests.
UNO will start right-hander Keaton Brewer (3-1, 6.53 ERA). Brewer is making his first start for New Orleans. The junior has made 23 appearances out of the bullpen this season tossing 41.1 innings of work.
The Privateers are hitting .307 as a team with 72 doubles, 21 triples and 33 home runs. Dakota Dean, the younger brother of head coach Blake Dean, paces UNO hitting .339 with eight doubles, four triples, five home runs and 42 RBI. Hezekiah Randolph has a team-best 43 RBI on 15 doubles, a triple and seven home runs, while Kyle Bracey has a team-high eight homers to go with 37 RBI.
Following the matchup with the Privateers, the Cajuns will host ULM the squad's final series of the season starting Thursday at 6 p.m. at The Tigue.
