Cajuns Baseball To Host Lafayette Regional At The Tigue June 3-6

LAFAYETTE, La. – Coming off of the program's third straight Sun Belt Conference tournament championship, the 17th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team was selected as one of the 16 regional hosts as the Lafayette Regional will be played at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field from June 3-6, the NCAA announced on Sunday night.

"It's an honor and a privilege to be with the other 15 regional sites that were awarded by the NCAA," head coach Tony Robichaux said. "This is a huge reward for our players and coaching staff to be able to play on a national stage in front of one of the best fan bases in the country.

"The last two times that we have hosted a regional at The Tigue, the atmosphere was amazing and our fans turned out in great numbers. I'm confident they will do the same again this year. I also have great confidence in president Dr. E. Joseph Savoie, Director of Athletics Scott Farmer and our Associate Director of Athletics John Dugas to make this a first class event for our fans and the teams and fans that will visit."

The three other regional participants for the Lafayette Regional will be announced on Monday at 11 a.m. on ESPNU.

2016 Ragin' Cajuns baseball season ticket holders will receive ticket priority and can purchase their season seats by logging on to Account Manager at RaginCajuns.com, stopping by the Cajundome Box Office from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. or calling the Regional Call Center at (337) 265-2170.

RCAF 2016 Annual Fund donors may request tickets and baseball season ticket holders may request additional seats through RaginCajuns.com. Fans can download the Regional order form and email it to ultickets@cajundome.com or call the Regional Call Center at (337) 265-2170.

The deadline for season ticket holders to reserve their season seats is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31st. **Due to NCAA rules, some season ticket holders may be relocated from their regular season reserved seats to other seating locations.

The deadline for RCAF 2016 Annual Fund donors to request tickets is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31st. Seats will be allocated based upon donors RCAF 2016 Annual Fund donation level.

Tickets may be picked up starting at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 2nd at the Cajundome Box Office. Fans are encouraged to take advantage of the "Print At Home" option through their Account Manager account.
