Season Opener Against Boise State To Be Televised Nationally On American Sports Network

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team 2016 season opener against Boise State at Cajun Field on Sept. 3 will be broadcast nationally on the American Sports Network (ASN) as part of a deal struck by the Sun Belt Conference, director of athletics Scott Farmer announced on Wednesday.

Kickoff for the season opener against the Broncos has been set for 11 a.m., while the Cajuns will kickoff their home game against McNeese State (Sept. 10) at 6 p.m. The homecoming contest against Idaho has been set for 4 p.m. on Nov. 5 at Cajun Field.

Additionally, the Ragin' Cajuns Sept. 17 matchup with South Alabama will also be broadcast on ASN. Kickoff time for the contest is TBA.

The two ASN games give Louisiana four nationally-televised games announced thus far with the squad also playing televised games against Appalachian State (Oct. 12) on ESPN2 and Georgia Southern (Nov. 10) on ESPNU.

The American Sports Network broadcast will be simulcast on ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN app to allow fans the opportunity to watch the content on their mobile devices.
