LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team added to its 2016 signing class as Skylar Petroski of Orange, Texas inked a national letter of intent to join the program, head coach Theo Sliman announced on Friday.

"Excited to bring Skylar on board to the program," Sliman said. "He's a guy that I feel really was overlooked and can come in and add depth to a talented squad. Skylar is a person who has the ability to post low numbers and will have a chance to work his way into the travel squad. I'm honored to be a part of his development over the next four years as he works towards a degree."

Petroski joins Aron Juliusson and Jack Tolson on the 2016 signing class. A four-year letterwinner at Bridge City High School, Petroski was the 2014-2015 USSSA National Points Champion and finished as the runner up at the 2015 USSSA National Championship with a (-6) 66 final round.

The 2016 Southeast Texas Coaches Association player of the Year award honoree, Petroski was also named the 2016 Babe Zaharias Player of the Year after claiming the District 24-4A title three years in a row.
