Ragin’ Cajuns Finish 13th At The Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate at The Grove

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After posting a final round score of 22-over par (310), the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team finished in 13th place At The Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate at The Grove on Tuesday with a 54-hole score of 40-over par (904) at the par-72, 7,368-yard The Grove Club.

Ole Miss held on to win the team championship with a three-round score of 4-over (868). Kennesaw State (+10, 874), College of Charleston (+14, 878), Middle Tennessee (+16, 880), Troy (+19, 883) and Georgia (+19, 883) round out the top 5 teams.

Braden Thornberry of Ole Miss won the individual title with a score of 5-under (211).

Senior Fernando Cruz Valle notched his 20th career top 25 finish placing in a tie for 22nd at 5-over (221).

Freshman Jack Tolson ended the event in a tie for 35th at 8-over (224), while Ragnar Gardarsson placed in a tie for 54th at 12-over (228). Triston Elston finished in a tie for 66th at 17-over (233), and Aron Juliusson rounded out the scoring in 76th place at 24-over (240).

Louisiana returns to action Oct. 8-9 as the squad heads to Baton Rouge, La. for the David Toms Intercollegiate hosted at the University Club.
