LAFAYETTE – Texas sophomore Harrison Scott came from behind to defeat top-seeded Kentucky junior William Bushamuka (6-7, 7-6, 6-2) in the John Breaux Cajun Tennis Classic championship match at the Culotta Tennis Center.

Scott, who was seeded fourth, trailed Bushamuka in the second set tiebreaker, 0-4, before coming back and winning seven straight points to take the tiebreaker and force a deciding third set.

Scott is ranked No. 71 in the Oracle ITA Division I Men's National Singles Ranking while Bushamuka ranks at No. 15 in the country.

In the double's final, second-seeded Texas Tech's Alex Sendegeya and Bjorn Thompson defeated top-seeded LSU's Jordan Daigle and Justin Butsch (7-6, 6-7, 6-2).

Daigle and Butsch saved a match point in the second set to come back and force a third set. The Tigers were unable to keep up the pace in the final set.

In the consolation bracket final, Connor Curry (Texas Tech) knocked off Tim Sandkaulen (Ole Miss) (7-6, 6-2).
