Football Holds Annual Senior Award Banquet

McGuire, Riles, Peters, Artigue Named Team MVP
LAFAYETTE – Head football coach Mark Hudspeth and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football staff honored members for outstanding achievement during the annual Senior Award Football Banquet that was held on Saturday at the UL Lafayette Student Union.
Senior Dominick Jones was the recipient of the Orlando Thomas Courage Award with Karmichael Dunbar being honored with the Hardy F. Edmistion, Jr., Sportsmanship Award. Eddie Gordon and Trey Granier were each presented with the Robert E. Trahan Special Achievement Award.
Elijah McGuire and Al Riles (Offense), Otha Peters (defense) and Stevie Artigue (special teams) each earned MVP awards with Nick Byrne earning the Gridiron Alumni Award.
Longtime team chaplain Eric Trueil was presented with the 12th Man Award.
