Ragin' Cajuns Ready For National Signing Day

LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team, coming off of its fifth bowl appearance in six years, is in the final stages of preparation for National Signing Day, which begins Wednesday. Future Ragin' Cajuns can sign their National Letters of Intent (NLIs) beginning at 7 a.m. local time (in their time zone). NLIs are then sent to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletic Department, where they are verified by the compliance office before any public comment can be made. Fans on Twitter can follow @RaginCajunsFB, the official twitter account of the Ragin' Cajuns football team, for breaking news on each new addition to the 2017 class.Â
As NLIs are verified by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Compliance Office, fans can read updated bios on the newest members of the Ragin' Cajuns by going to www.RaginCajuns.com and following Signing Day Central.

At 11:30 a.m. (subject to change), head coach Mark Hudspeth will meet with the media to discuss the 2017 recruiting class. Fans can follow the press conference via Facebook Live at Ragin' Cajuns Athletics.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Hudspeth and the Ragin' Cajuns will hold its annual "Football Signing Bash," presented by Gulf Coast Bank at the Moncla Indoor Practice Facility.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with the program starting at 5:30. Admission is free and the public is invited. Fans are encouraged to park in the Cajun Field parking lots on the east side of Cajun Field.

Free food and beverages will be available along with inflatable games for children. Fans will be able to taste the newly released Ragin' Cajuns Coffee from Mello Joy and meet members of the Ragin' Jazz and Ragin' Cajuns cheerleaders.

Hudspeth and his coaching staff will be on hand, with Hudspeth reviewing each of the recruits. New offensive coordinator Will Hall and defensive coordinator Mike Lucas will be available for a question-and-answer session with fans available to send in questions via Twitter using the hashtag #GeauxCajuns.

Complimentary drinks, provided by Schilling Distributing, Coca-Cola and Legend's will be available. Gulf Coast Bank and Coca-Cola will be handing out t-shirts while supplies last.

All fans also will be able to place their deposits for new season tickets for the 2017 campaign, with new deposits receiving priority to ticket locations once the annual ticket renewal period concludes.
