Promotions Set as Cajuns Kick Off Final Stretch at EKL

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball teams opens its final stretch of home matches for the 2017 season Friday-Saturday, Oct. 20-21 at Earl K. Long Gym with a themed night planned for each day.

Louisiana hosts Appalachian State in the Dig Pink Match on Friday and Coastal Carolina on Saturday for Girl Scout Night. First serve for both matches is set for 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.

The matches with the Mountaineers and Chanticleers are the first of four on the homestand that wraps up next week against UTA (Oct. 26) and Texas State (Oct. 28).

Friday's Dig Pink Match for Breast Cancer Awareness is being dedicated to all who are affected by breast cancer. Fans are encouraged to wear pink.
All Girl Scout Troops, locally and regionally, are invited to attend Saturday's Girl Scout Night. The following activities have been planned:
The Ragin' Cajuns are the current leaders of the Sun Belt Conference West Division with a 7-1 record in conference play. The squad brings a seven-match home court win streak at E.K. Long Gym into the homestand.

- Troop Poster Competition for a chance to win an autographed volleyball
 - Troops are encouraged to design a poster and bring it to the match. There will also be an area in the Earl K. Long Gym lobby for troops to design a poster
 - Ragin' Cajuns volleyballs tossed into the stands throughout the match
 - Ragin' Cajuns Photo Booth area
