Cajuns Golf Set For Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate

COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team continues its fall season on Sunday at the Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate held at the par-72, 7,368-yard The Grove Club Golf Course. It's the third straight year the Cajuns have taken part in the three-day tournament.

Teams will play 18 holes each day with an 8 a.m. start off of holes one and ten. Louisiana is paired with the College of Charleston for the first round and will tee off of hole one starting at 9:20 a.m. Live scoring for the event is available on Golfstat.com

The Field

Host Middle Tennessee is joined by the College of Charleston, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Louisiana, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, South Dakota State, South Florida, Troy

The Lineup

Junior Triston Elston will look to post a top 25 finish for the third straight tournament after placing in a tie for 18th at the Louisville Cardinal Classic. Elston's best career finish came at the Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate in 2015 as he posted a seventh place finish in a rain-shortened tournament.

Freshman Peter Hinnant rejoins the lineup this weekend and is joined by junior Colin Troxler, sophomore Jack Tolson and freshman Bjorn Gudjonsson. Tolson has recorded a round in the 60s in both tournaments this year.

On Deck

Following the Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate, the Ragin' Cajuns will wrap up the fall campaign with a trip to the Warrior Princeville Makai Intercollegiate from Oct. 29-31.
