Ragin’ Cajuns In Eighth At Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate

COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team finished the first day of the Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate in eight place on a wet and windy Sunday after carding a round of 21-over par (309) at the par-72, 7,368-yard The Grove Club Golf Course.

The Ragin' Cajuns are seven strokes back of Liberty and the College of Charleston for fifth. Ole Miss leads the field with the only score under par on the day at 1-under (287).

Josh Seiple of Ole Miss and Tyler Johnson of Middle Tennessee are tied for the individual lead at 2-under (70) as only three scores under par were turned in for the first round.

Elston Sits Inside Top 25

Junior Triston Elston notched a team-best four birdies in the first round to end the day in a tie for 18th with a score of 75 (+3). Elston has placed in the top 25 in both events so far this fall.

Second Round Pairings
