Parking Information For Mardi Gras Invitational

LAFAYETTE – With heavy traffic expected to be around Cajun Field this weekend due to Mardi Gras parades and the Le Festival de Mardi Gras Fair at Cajun Field, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Department of Athletics issued parking information for this weekend's Mardi Gras Invitational at Lamson Park.

Beginning Friday, all fans who will be attending the Ragin' Cajuns softball team in the Mardi Gras Invitational are encouraged to park in the spaces provided at Fraternity Row on Glynn Abel Drive, at Sorority Row and at UL Printing Services on Coliseum Drive. Parking will also be available at the UL Intramural Fields on Coliseum Drive.

General admission parking will be available at Cajun Field on a first-come, first-served basis during the weekend for fans who have already printed game tickets or by paying the parking fee.

Reserved parking at Lamson Park will be available on Thursday, Friday (until 5 p.m.) and Sunday only as Cajundome Blvd. will be closed for the majority of the day on Saturday.

Thursday (February 23)

General admission parking will be available at Cajun Field, and Reserved parking will be available at Lamson Park (usual plans for a weekday game for parking operations).

Friday (February 24)

ALL parking is encouraged to use the spaces made available at Fraternity Row on Glynn Abel Drive (limited number of spaces) and at Sorority Row and Printing Services on Coliseum Drive. Parking at the Intramural Fields is also an option. Golf carts will be used to shuttle fans to and from Lamson Park from these satellite lots.
GA parking will only be available at Cajun Field with a game ticket in hand or by paying the entrance fee (starting at approximately 4 p.m.). It will be first-come, first-served in conjunction with the fair patrons. Please note that Cajundome Blvd will close between 5-6 p.m. due to the Friday Night Parade. Cars will not be allowed to exit until the road opens after the parade.

Overflow parking will be available at Bourgeois Hall, Fraternity Row on Glynn Abel Drive (limited number of spaces) and at Sorority Row and Printing Services on Coliseum Drive. Parking at the Intramural Fields is also an option.
Reserved parking will be available at Lamson Park.
