Take a Kid to the Game Offered for Softball Opening Day

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball fans have the opportunity to "Take a Kid to the Game" this Friday for Opening Day of the 2017 season at Lamson Park.

No. 11-ranked Louisiana faces DePaul at 3 p.m. and Iowa State at 5:30 p.m. to kick off the 2017 season and begin play in the 31st Annual Louisiana Classics at Lamson Park.

All kids, 11 and under, will receive free admission (with the purchase of an adult ticket) by downloading a coupon from the Tickets menu on RaginCajuns.com and presenting it at the Lamson Park Ticket Booth.

The promotion is valid for both Ragin' Cajuns softball games on Friday. Fans can obtain their tickets in advance of gameday by visiting the Cajundome Box Office during business hours (10am-4pm).

The first 100 kids to enter Lamson Park receive a voucher for a free small popcorn.

Kids can also sign-up to win a free Ragin' Cajuns softball camp experience. The winner will be drawn at the end of the season, but one name per game on Friday will be drawn to win a Ragin' Cajun prize.
