Friday match vs. Harvard to be streamed by Ivy Digital Network

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team returns to action beginning Friday when it heads to New England for a pair of matches against schools from the Ivy League.

Louisiana (11-7) opens play on Friday in Cambridge, Mass., against Harvard (9-8) in a 2 p.m. CDT contest at the Murr Center Tennis Courts. The Ragin' Cajuns will then conclude the trip on Saturday when it travels to Providence, R.I., to face Brown (10-5) in a 2 p.m. CDT contest.

The match against Harvard will be streamed live on the Ivy Digital Network.

The Ragin' Cajuns look to snap a three-match losing skid that began on March 3 against No. 28 South Alabama, coupled with matches against New Mexico State and Penn. Arthur Libaud has paced Louisiana on the court this season, posting an 11-5 record in dual matches while going 12-2 overall in doubles matches.

Freshman Jamie Fraser has posted an 8-4 record in dual matches this spring for the Ragin' Cajuns with freshman Elio Lago (6-2) and senior Eric Perez (6-4) solidifying the bottom of the lineup.

Harvard is led by the doubles team of Kenny Tao and Brian Yeung, ranked No. 57 nationally in the latest ITA National College Tennis Rankings. The duo has recorded 11 victories this season for the Crimson, including a 7-3 mark in their last 10 matches.

Christopher Morrow and Logan Weber have posted an 11-3 record in doubles play this season for Harvard with Jean Thirouin recording a team-high 10 wins in singles play, including six straight victories in dual matches.

Brown had its two-match win streak snapped last Sunday in a 4-2 decision against Old Dominion. The Bears posted an eight-match win streak, including a 6-0 record in February, that included victories over Boston College and UConn.

After concluding its two-match roadtrip, Louisiana will return home to face Southern Miss on April 1 at Cajun Courts.
