First of three straight matches against Ivy League for Ragin' Cajuns

LAFAYETTE – Coming off a third-place finish last weekend at the H-E-B Tournament of Champions, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday when it plays host to Ivy League member Penn at Cajun Courts.

First serve is set for 2:30 p.m. Live results for the match will be available at CajunStats.com.

Louisiana (11-6) finished third overall at the H-E-B Tournament of Champions, opening with a 4-1 win over DePaul before falling to South Alabama and New Mexico State. The match against Penn (8-5) is the first of three straight against the Ivy League for the Ragin' Cajuns, who will visit Harvard (March 24) and Brown (March 25).

Arthur Libaud has posted a 10-5 record in dual matches this spring to lead Louisiana with freshman Jamie Fraser recording an 8-3 record. Eric Perez (6-3) and Elio Lago (6-2) have solidified the bottom two spots in the lineup for the Cajuns with Vlad Kramarov recording four of his five dual match victories at No. 3 and No. 4.

The doubles team of Libaud and Fraser has won nine of its last 10 matches and is 11-2 overall, including 5-0 at No. 2. Perez and Coleman Wahlborg have split time between No. 1 and No. 2 doubles for Louisiana, posting a 7-4 record on the season.

Penn has been led this season by their top-two singles players, Kyle Mautner and Josh Pompan. The duo has combined to go 19-4 atop Penn's lineup, including a 10-2 mark from Mautner at No. 1.

Pompan has also been impressive in doubles action this season, teaming with Thomas Spratt. The duo is a team-best 9-3 in Penn's No. 3 slot.

Nicolas Podesta is 3-0 in singles since re-joining the Quakers a few weeks back. He has jumped around the lineup, seeing action at No. 4, No. 2 and No. 1.

Max Cancilla is 7-3 in singles this season, including a perfect 5-0 mark at No. 6.
