Brown To Transfer From Ragin' Cajuns Basketball Program

Freshman averaged 2.9 points with 10 starts in 2016-17

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball coach Bob Marlin announced on Wednesday that freshman forward Roydell Brown will transfer from the program.
 
Brown, a New Orleans native, played in 32 games in his inaugural season for the Ragin' Cajuns and earning 10 starts during the season. He averaged 2.9 points and 1.5 rebounds per game, with a season-high of 15 points scored against Panhandle State on 6 of 6 shooting from the floor with a pair of 3-pointers.
 
"We appreciate everything that Roydell has done for our program and we respect his decision to pursue other options," Marlin said. "We wish nothing but the best in his future and are hopeful that he will be able to reach his academic and athletic goals."
