Women's Basketball Banquet Scheduled For April 13

LAFAYETTE - Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball head coach Garry Brodhead and his coaching staff will honor the 2017 Sun Belt Championship runner-ups at its annual banquet next Thursday, April 13 at the Petroleum Club (111 Heymann Blvd).

Doors will open at 6 p.m., with dinner scheduled for 6:30.

Tickets are $25 per person and are available for advance purchase from the Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball office or at the door. For more information or to RSVP, contact Mary Chris Vogt in the Louisiana women's basketball office at mcvogt@louisiana.edu.

The Ragin' Cajuns completed one of their most successful seasons in program history, advancing to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament finals for only the third time in program history and finishing with a third straight 20-win season.

Seniors Jaylyn Gordon and Gabby Alexander will be honored at the banquet for their outstanding four-year careers. Gordon was named First Team All-Sun Belt and led the league in scoring while Alexander was second on the Ragin' Cajuns in total rebounds.
