BASTROP, Texas – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team is set to tee off at the Jim West Intercollegiate starting Monday at the par-72, 7,205-yard Wolf Dancer Golf Club.
Â
"I'm looking forward to our last stroke play event prior to the Sunbelt Championship," head coach Theo Sliman said. "We are very fortunate to travel six players this week, and fully expect all six to take advantage of the opportunity ahead. Taking advantage means competing and fighting, which in turn can spark us into Sun Belt play."
Â
Play gets underway at 8:30 a.m. on Monday with a shotgun start as the teams will play rounds one and two on the first day. The third round is slated to get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday with a shotgun start.
Â
Incarnate Word, Louisiana, New Mexico State, Oral Roberts, Rice, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, St. Eward's, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, UT Arlington and UT Rio Grande Valley make up the 12-team field.
Â
Aron Juliusson, Thomas Strandemo, Fernando Cruz Valle, Ragnar Gardarsson and Triston Elston make up the lineup for the Cajuns. Jack Tolson will play as an individual for Louisiana.
Â
Both Juliusson and Cruz Valle have notched four top 25 performances this season. Cruz Valle paces the team in scoring average at 73.04 through 25 rounds.
