Louisiana Men's Tennis Holds Press Conference For Classic

LAFAYETTE – With the Louisiana men's tennis team preparing to host the John Breaux Cajun Tennis Classic on Sept. 22-24, a press conference, starting at noon promoting the event will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 23rd at Moss Motors.

"Robert Daigle along with Renee Matamoros with Southern Lifestyle alongside Sharon Moss with Moss Motors have been corner stones for the John Breaux Cajun Tennis Classic," said Louisiana head coach Mark Jeffrey. "They have given their time, energy and support each year to make this event happen and be among the elite tennis tournaments of the nation."

This season the Cajuns will welcome to Lafayette a collection of top talent from across the nation, with seven teams finishing ranked nationally in the top 65 last season.

Those teams include Texas (No. 11); Oklahoma State (No. 15); South Florida (No. 23); Kentucky (No. 29); Texas Tech (No. 32); Georgia State (No. 42) and LSU (No. 61) providing what should be a great weekend of tennis at the Cajuns Courts and Culotta Tennis Center.

Speaking at the press conference will be Daigle and then Moss, who owns Moss Motors.

"I also wanted to mention Superior Energy, Merrill Lynch, Buffalo Wild Wings, Mel's Diner, Dr. Curtis Roy, Jay Culotta M.D., Boyd Anderson, Iberia Bank, L.T.A without their support this all would not be possible," said coach Jeffrey.

Moss Motors is located at 1401-1407 Surrey St., which is roughly four miles east of Cajun Field.
