LAFAYETTE—Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis coach Stephanie Vallejos announced the addition of six new players that will join the program for the 2017-18 season.

Joining the Ragin' Cajuns in the fall is Nevada transfer Milena Achlamov, in-state product Morgan Forshag, Texas native Kate McMahon and three French freshmen - Floriane Picaut, Dana Radovanovic and Kim Yatribi.

The new players bring a combination of experience both on the American high school circuits and the international field and should be a strong addition going forward for the Cajuns.

"I'm excited to welcome them into the team and I'm looking forward to the depth they can bring to our lineup," Vallejos said. "They have individual strengths that will help take us to the next level we strive for everyday and I'm confident that their competitive backgrounds will help us in our toughest moments."

Achlamov, who played her freshman year at Nevada and will have three years remaining with the Ragin' Cajuns, brings experience on both the collegiate and international stage.  As a freshman at Nevada she went 3-21 in her first season with the Wolf Pack with a 1-3 record in Mountain West play.  Along with that she posted a 7-18 doubles record and added a 1-2 record in Mountain West doubles play.

Originally from France, Achlamov graduated from CNED in Renees, France in 2016 where she played four years at TC Grande Motte under head coach Valentine Vignes.  While there the team won four consecutive championships.

Forshag, a Metairie native, had a highly decorated career at Dominican High School and will look to continue that success as a Cajun.  She was one the more successful athletes in school history and she was key to helping lead her team under head coach Peggy Miner to three straight District, Regional and State Championships from 2013-16.

She tacked on another District and Regional Championship while finishing second in the state her senior season and in all four years she played in high school she only dropped three matches along with adding three doubles State Championships and one singles championship to her personal mantel.

Picaut is another recruit from France where she was extremely successful in her career on the French circuits.  She participated in the French National Championship four years in a row while winning the regional championship each season in her age group to earn the right for the trips to the National Championship.  She also helped her club team advance into the superior division while hoisting several senior tournament trophies.

McMahon, from Fredericksburg, Texas, was a part of head coach David Mueller's 6A State Championship at New Braunfels High School during her junior year and was a captain at the Weil Tennis Academy in California during the 2016-17 year.

She was also a part of the John Newcombe Tennis Academy under head coach Jimmy Brown from 2013-16.  While earning all this success on the court she maintained her academic success as well receiving the All-Academic Athletic Award and she was nominated to National Honors Society.

Radovanovic, from Belfort, France, was a part of seven regional championship teams in her prep career and helped her school to a three top-two regional finishes. She reached the quarterfinals of the 2012 Passagespoirs in France and was part of a squad that earned a pair of second-place regional finishes in Ligue Franche Comté and regional championship in 2014-15.

Yatribi, from Frejus on the southeast coast, claimed the championship of the Cote' d'Azur and qualified for the Roland Garros. On the European Junior Tour, Yatribi finished at No. 791 in 2015.

She claimed the 17/18 department championship earlier this year and reached the 1/8 Finals at the Meppel Storks Cup in the Netherlands in 2013.
