Cajuns Gets Mixed Results In Rugged Texas A&M Invitational

Limoh, Robinson earn top-10 finishes; women's team finishes as top SBC team in 17-team meet
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Stanley Limoh and Beau Robinson each posted top-10 finishes in the men's 8-kilometer race with Courtney Musgrove finishing 12th overall in the women's 6K race to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns cross country team on Saturday at the Texas A&M Invitational at the Watts Cross Country Course.
Louisiana finished seventh overall in the men's 18-team field with 188 points with the women's team placing eighth overall in the 17-team event with 220 points.
Limoh placed third overall in the men's race, covering the 8K course in 24:09.4 with Robinson finishing 10th overall in 24:18.8. Jonathan Kimutai (24:49.9) finished 28th overall for the Ragin' Cajuns with Dylan Heck (25:50.1) finishing 80th, Logan LaGarde (25:58.4) 93rd, George Femmer (26:15.5) 101st, Andre Bellard (26:55.7) 122nd, Conner Meche (27:13.8) 131st and Regan Lemaire (28:50.2) 155th.
"We had a little bit of a mixed bag in the results today," head coach Lon Badeaux said. "I felt like the men did not run up to their potential and missed an opportunity to place higher against quality competition, but I'm confident we will be able to correct the mistakes as we move forward.
"The women on the other hand ran right at what they are capable of at this point and came up with a quality result in the 18-team field and beat two of the better (Sun Belt) conference opponents in the process."
Musgrove crossed the finish line in 21:38.5 to finish 12th overall and help Louisiana finish ahead of Sun Belt Conference opponents UT Arlington (230) and Texas State (282) along with North Texas (247), ranked No. 11 in the USTFCCCA South Central Region poll.
Lindsay LaGarde (22:24.4) finished 37th overall for Louisiana and was followed by Claire Hodges (56th, 22:51.8), Alexa Breaux (67th, 23:09.1), Courtney Broussard (74th, 23:24.6), Ally McCulley (93rd, 23:58.2), Hailey Hesterman (107th, 24:27.0) and Teresa Bruning (111th, 24:42.7).
Louisiana will return to action on Saturday (Sept. 30) when it travels to Lake Charles to compete in the McNeese Cowboy Stampede.
