Louisiana looks to get their seventh straight win against ULM and fourth straight conference win as they host the Warhawks on Saturday.

LAFAYETTE – Riding a three-game winning streak in Sun Belt Conference play, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team will host the ULM Warhawks, on Saturday, Jan. 13 with tip scheduled for 4 p.m., looking to get their fourth straight conference win.

Louisiana enters the game with an 8-8 (3-1 SBC) record, and on top of the three-game winning streak, the Cajuns have won four out of their last five games.  All-time the Cajuns are 13-43 against the Warhawks, but Louisiana has won the last six meetings between the two schools.

ULM comes into the game 4-11 (1-3 SBC) and they've lost their last four out of five games, including their previous game against Appalachian State, 71-67, in Monroe, La., on Jan. 6.

CAJUNS RETURN TO COX SPORTS: For the second time this season the Cajuns will be broadcast on COX Sports TV, the first being when Louisiana took faced McNeese, on Dec. 3, 2017, a 98-86 triple overtime win for the Cajuns.  Lyn Rollins will be working play-by-play, Victor Howell will handle the color commentary and Tatum Everett patrolling the sidelines.

CAJUNS SWEEP THE CAROLINAS: Louisiana opened up their conference home schedule when they welcomed the schools from the Carolinas for the weekend.  The Cajuns beat Appalachian State on Jan. 4, 61-45 and they followed that up with a 59-55 defensive showdown against Coastal Carolina on Jan. 6.

In the game against App State, senior Troi Swain was on fire, she nailed a career high six three-pointers and she finished with 22 points, which was just one off her career high.  Louisiana outscored the Mountaineers 20-2 in the fourth quarter, and the two points allowed by the Cajuns are the fewest allowed in a quarter in school history.

Against Coastal Carolina the Cajuns found themselves in a defensive battle, but nonetheless they found enough offense, led by freshman Skyler Goodwin's 17 points and Swain's 10 points, Louisiana held off a late push from Coastal to come away with their third straight win.  It was the second straight game where the Cajuns forced 24 turnovers, meaning that over the weekend Louisiana caused 48 turnovers.

BRODHEAD HITS THE CENTURY MARK: The Cajuns win against Coastal was head coach Garry Brodhead's 100th career win.  Already the schools winningest coach, Brodhead has reached the milestone in just five and a half seasons at the helm and he becomes the first women's basketball head coach in school history to reach 100 wins.

CAJUNS HOST A TURNOVER PARTY: In both games over the weekend the Cajuns caused 24 turnovers a piece, and it added up to 48 turnovers in the two games.  When factoring in the Cajuns win against Alcorn State on Dec. 20, 2017, the Cajuns have caused 70 turnovers in their last three home games.

SWAIN CATCHES FIRE: Swain shot 50 percent from three-point range in the Cajuns two games, going 7 for 14 from beyond the arc.  She scored 32 points combined in the two games and she snagged seven rebounds.

Swain was also key in both wins for the Cajuns, she led the team in scoring with 22 points in the Cajuns win against App State, and she snagged a big rebound against Coastal down the stretch and her free-throw iced the game for the Cajuns as they pulled off the big win at the Cajundome.

WHAT THE WARHAWKS BRING: ULM enters the game following a 71-67 loss to App State on Jan. 6, but they did snag their first conference win of the season against Coastal on Jan. 4, 62-56, and they're sitting in 10th place in the conference with their record at 4-11 (1-3 SBC).

The Warhawks are scoring 58.3 points per game, which ranks them ninth in the conference in scoring, while they're giving up 68.3 points per game placing them eighth in the conference in that category.  ULM does sit fourth in the conference in both field goal percentage (40 percent) and three-point field goal percentage (33 percent).

Gabriella Cortez has been having a solid season, she's leading the Warhawks in scoring averaging 16.5 points per game, and she's shooting 50 percent through the first 14 games of the season.  Cortez is third in the conference in scoring, and she's tied for sixth in the conference in field goal percentage.

LISTENING TO THE RAGIN' CAJUNS: Saturday's game against ULM will be carried on ESPN 1420 with Steve Peloquin handling the play-by-play duties, and their pregame show starts at 3:45 p.m.
