Louisiana Falls At No. 25 Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, TEXAS – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team lost 7-0 to the No. 25 Texas Tech Red Raiders here at the McLeod Tennis Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Doubles): Playing the No. 2 was the Cajuns pairing of junior Arthur Libaud and sophomore Jamie Fraser as they went up against, and lost 6-2, to the Texas Tech duo of Cobb and Valiev. The Red Raiders wrapped up the doubles point at the No. 1 when their duo of Curry and Sendegeya beat the Louisiana pair of senior Vlad Kramarov and sophomore Elio Lago, 6-4, to head into singles play with a 1-0 lead in the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Singles): Playing No. 3 was the Cajuns Libaud and he lost in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3 to Ilgiz Valiev to give the Red Raiders the first singles point in the match. Shortly after that at the No. 2, Louisiana's Fraser lost 6-0, 6-1 to Connor Curry to put the Red Raiders up 3-0.
The Red Raiders locked up the match at the No. 6 when Cajuns freshman Dominik Koenig lost his match to Pyry Hyrkkonen in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0. Playing out the remaining matches, Louisiana then lost at the No. 4 when Kramarov lost to the Red Raider's Leite Matheus in a match that went to a third set tiebreaker, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-2).
At the No. 5 Cajuns sophomore Pearse Dolan lost in straight sets to Texas Tech's Jackson Cobb, 7-5, 6-4. The final match to finish on the day was at the No. 1 when Lago lost in straight sets to Alex Sendegeya 6-0, 7-6 (8-6), to give the Red Raiders the 7-0 win.
