Ragin' Cajuns to compete in meets at A-State and McNeese

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team will compete in a pair of meets beginning on Friday when a select group of student-athletes compete in the A-State Invitational and Multi, with a large contingent competing at the McNeese Indoor Invitational.
 
The A-State meet will start on Friday at 10:30 a.m., at First National Bank Arena with competition in the men's heptathlon followed by the start of the women's pentathlon at 10:45. Action on Friday in Lake Charles at the Ralph O. Ward Recreation Complex begins at 11 a.m., with field events with running events slated to begin at 4:30 p.m.
 
Multi competitors Sven Glueck and Chandler Mixon will each compete in the men's heptathlon for Louisiana with Alex Morrow and Juliette Smith competing women's pentathlon. Jeryl Brazil, who is 26th nationally in the 60-meter dash, is scheduled to compete in a pair of events for the Ragin' Cajuns with Tyler Hughes and Kameron Cummings scheduled to compete in the 55-meter hurdles.
 
Kyle Baudoin, ranked 35th nationally in the pole vault, will be joined by teammates Matthew Standridge and Matt Wilson in the event with Damon Guidry slated to compete for Louisiana in the high jump.
 
Rounding out the Louisiana contingent for the two-day meet will be Frankie Griffin, ranked ninth in the Sun Belt Conference in the women's high jump.
 
Several Cajuns will look to improve on their individual performances at the McNeese Indoor with Courtney Musgrove and Claire Hodges ranked third and fourth in the Sun Belt Conference, respectively, in the women's 3,000-meter run.
 
Tisay Woodhouse, the SBC leader in the women's weight throw, will also compete in the shot put where she is ranked ninth in the league with Lindsey Darby ranked sixth overall in the women's long jump.
 
In men's event, Richard Delphin and Dominique Williams will each compete in the weight throw, where they are ranked fourth and seventh in the SBC, respectively. Williams, ranked eighth in the SBC in the shot put, will be joined in the event by teammates Shaquille Singuineau and Anthony Taylor.
 
Stanley Limoh, ranked ninth in the men's 3,000-meters, will look to build on his opening performance in the event at the LSU Purple Tiger.
