NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis senior Vlad Kramarov was named the first Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week for the 2018 season.

The award covers the previous month and a half of action and in that time Kramarov has been a standout, going 8-3 in singles playing primarily in the top three of the lineup and 3-3 in doubles, on a Cajuns team that has been tested with every match they've been a part of.

KRAMAROV GETS IT DONE IN DOUBLES: In the Cajuns match at Old Dominion Kramarov and sophomore Elio Lago recorded one of the best wins for the Cajuns in recent memory.  They took down the No. 22 nationally ranked doubles pair of Aziz Kijametovic and Francois Musitelli, 6-3.

It was a commanding performance, since the ODU pair had only lost one match prior in the season and they had a win against the No. 15 doubles pair already under their belt.  In fact, the only loss by Kijametovic and Musitelli, went into a tiebreaker, and win for Kramarov and Lago didn't get close to a breaker showing how dominate the Cajuns duo was.

SEVEN STRAIGHT: Over a seven match stretch Kramarov didn't lose a single match in singles, pushing his record ever so closer to 10 wins on the season.  Those wins were highlighted by a win at LSU (6-1, 6-2), a win at Rice (6-1, 6-4) and a clinching win at UTSA (6-7, 7-6, 6-2).
