Cajuns Golf Wraps Up First Day Of 33rd Annual Louisiana Classics

33rd annual Louisiana Classics Leaderboard

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team wrapped up the first day of the 33rd annual Louisiana Classics on Monday in 13th place with an overall score of 8-over par (584) at the par 72, 6,866-yard Oakbourne Country Club.
 
No. 3 Texas A&M leads the field with a two-round score of 21-under (555) after carding a score of 15-under in the second round.
 
Kent State's Ian Holt sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 36-hole score of 8-under (136) posting 68 in both rounds.
 
The final round of the Louisiana Classics gets underway at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow with play starting off of holes one and ten.

Tolson Paces Cajuns
 
Sophomore Jack Tolson followed up a round of 73 (+1) in the first round to notch a score of 71 (-1) in the afternoon. The Lafayette native finished the day in a tie for 30th at even par (144). Tolson had just two blemishes on his card in the second round while picking up birdies on holes three, 11 and 12.
 
Final Round Parings
 
The Ragin' Cajuns are paired with Southern Miss and Rice for the final round and will start off of hole ten at 7:30 a.m. Live stats are available on Golfstat.com.
