Louisiana Golf Heads To Prestigious Border Olympics

LAREDO, Texas. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team is set to tee off at the prestigious Border Olympics starting Friday morning at the par 72, 7,125-yard Laredo Country Club.

Play gets underway at 8 a.m. tomorrow with a shotgun start as teams will play 36 holes on the first day. The third and final round is scheduled for an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Saturday.

Host Houston is joined by Arkansas State, Bowling Green, Campbell, Houston Baptist, Lamar, Little Rock, Louisiana, McNeese, New Mexico State, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, ULM, UT Rio Grande Valley, UTSA and WKU in the 18-team field.

The Ragin' Cajuns are paired with WKU, New Mexico State and Stephen F. Austin for the first two rounds. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com.

The Lineup

Sophomore Jack Tolson is coming off of his first career top 10 finish at the Louisiana Classics placing in a tie for sixth with an overall score of 4-under par.

Tolson is joined by Peter Hinnant, Triston Elston, Bjorn Gudjonsson and Cole Kendrick in the lineup. Elston continues to lead the squad with a 73.44 stroke average through 18 rounds, while Hinnat and Gudjonsson have three rounds of par or better on the year.
