Cross Country Makes Final Tuneup at Arturo Barrios Invitational

Louisiana continues preparations for SBC Championships in 37-team meet
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Cross Country team heads west to College Station, Texas for its final tuneup before the Sun Belt Conference Championships when it competes in the 37-team Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday at the Dale Watts Cross Country Course.

The men's 8K race will start at 8:30 a.m. and the women's 6K race is scheduled for 9:15. Live results will be available at RaginCajuns.com.

Louisiana comes off a solid performance at the Cowboy Stampede on September 27 with the Ragin' Cajuns women's team claiming the team title with the men's team finishing third. Ella Segura and Isabelle Russell claimed the top two spots in the women's race with Henry Lyon and Reece Shelby each earned top-10 performances in the men's 4-mile run.

The Ragin' Cajuns are part of a solid field that includes host Texas A&M. Also entered in the meet are: Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, Baylor, Houston, Incarnate Word, Lamar, LeTourneau, LSU, McNeese State, Mercer, Middle Tennessee State, Nelson University, New Mexico State, New Orleans, Nicholls State, North Dakota, North Texas, Ohio State, Oklahoma (W), Oklahoma City, Our Lady of the Lake, Rice, Sam Houston, SMU (W), Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, TCU, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State, Texas Tech, Tulsa (W), UT-Arlington, UT-Rio Grande Valley, UTEP, UTSA and Wake Forest (W).
