Louisiana to Open Season at Ball State as Part of MAC-SBC Challenge

The first game of the Quannas White era is the first all-time meeting between the programs
LAFAYETTE -Â The Louisiana men's basketball team opens the Quannas White era at Ball State in Muncie, Indiana, as part of the MAC-SBC Challenge on November 3.
The Ragin' Cajuns are 2-2 in the challenge, which enters its third season of action. Louisiana split last season's contests, including a win at Northern Illinois. The conferences split the series last season, with both sides winning 12 times. Ball State won last year at home against Southern Miss and dropped the match-up at Georgia State. The Cardinals are 2-2 in the MAC-SBC Challenge.
The game will be the first for Louisiana under new head coach Quannas White and the first meeting between the programs. Louisiana hits the court in 2025-26 with a reloaded roster, featuring nine transfers, five returners, and three high school additions.
About The MAC-SBC Challenge
The MAC-SBC Challenge began during the 2023-24 season at the recommendation of the Sun Belt's strategic planning committees for men's and women's basketball. Scheduling assistance is provided by Ordinal Sports Group. In addition to relevant NET data, geography and frequency of past contests is considered in determining the matchups.
