Kenny and Stacey were both born and raised in Crowley, Louisiana. They met shortly after Stacey graduated from high school and began dating while she attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. They married in February 1994, just two months after Stacey earned her B.A. in Journalism from UL. She graduated summa cum laude in 1993 and was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate of the College of Liberal Arts.

Following their marriage, Kenny and Stacey moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts, where Stacey attended Harvard Law School, earning her J.D. cum laude in 1997. The couple then relocated to Dallas, Texas, where Stacey began practicing law at Vinson & Elkins, and Kenny worked as a surgical assistant.

In 2001, Kenny and Stacey returned to Lafayette to start their family. Their sons, Nicholas ("Nick") and Lucas ("Luke") were both born in Lafayette. During this time, Kenny founded Heart of Hospice, which grew to become one of the largest hospice agencies in Louisiana before he and his partners sold the business several years later. Meanwhile, Stacey taught as an adjunct professor at UL for one semester and went into labor with Nicholas as she was grading her students' final exams.

During their time in Lafayette, the family attended Louisiana Football's Fan Day in 2007, where four-year-old Nick got an autograph from a young player named Michael Desormeaux, a moment that would become even more meaningful years later.

In 2008, a new job opportunity brought the family back to Dallas, where they have lived ever since. In 2015, Stacey was named an Outstanding Alumni of UL, and the family proudly watched her be honored at midfield during a home football game. But their most exciting Ragin' Cajuns moment was still to come.

In the summer of 2021, Nick attended a Louisiana Football camp and expressed his interest in joining the team. During a recruiting visit to another university in his senior year, he received calls and texts from members of the Louisiana coaching staff inviting him to join the program. It was one of the few times Kenny and Stacey saw Nick visibly shaking with excitement. That moment remains the family's most memorable experience with Louisiana Athletics.

Nick was a member of the Louisiana football program for two years before stepping away in 2023 due to injury. He is expected to graduate from UL this December with a degree in Petroleum Land Management, and his parents couldn't be prouder to welcome another Ragin' Cajun alum into the family.

During Nick's time with the program, Kenny and Stacey renewed their connection to Louisiana Athletics and were among the fortunate few to purchase season tickets in the newly remodeled Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium. They are eagerly anticipating the season opener against Rice this August.

What the Doré family values most about Louisiana Athletics is to keep recruiting and competing to win with homegrown talent. They hope to see the program continue winning championships while keeping the spirit of the Cajuns alive and thriving.

Today, Stacey serves as Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Vistra Corp, an S&P 500 and Fortune 500 power generation and retail company headquartered in Dallas. Kenny remains a partner in Lamm Home Health and Lamm Hospice in Crowley but is semi-retired now that both sons are in college. He spends the bulk of his time managing the family's very busy life and playing golf when he can.

Their younger son, Luke, will begin his sophomore year at Florida State University this fall. Kenny and Stacey are excited to cheer on the Cajuns, knowing that FSU Parents' Weekend won't conflict with any Louisiana home games this year!
