Ragin' Cajuns, Bulldogs meet for 171st time on hardwood
RUSTON – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team returns to action after completing final exams when it travels to face in-state rival Louisiana Tech on Saturday at the Thomas Assembly Center.

Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. The game will be available on ESPN+ with fans able to listen to the game in the Lafayette area on KPEL-FM (96.5) and worldwide on the Varsity Network app.

Louisiana (1-9) and Louisiana Tech (5-3) renew a nearly 100-year rivalry as the teams meet for the 171st time on the hardwood. The Ragin' Cajuns look to end an eight-game skid by earning their first win in Ruston since a 75-71 win in 2017.

Jaxon Olvera (12.7) and Dorian Finister (11.3) lead Louisiana in the scoring column with three players – Finister (4.8), Olvera (4.6) and freshman Joshua Lewis (4.1) – pacing the team in rebounds.

Louisiana Tech, which has won all five games at home, is paced in scoring by AJ Bates (11.6), Kaden Cooper (10.9) and DJ Dudley (10.4). Cooper pulls down a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs.
